Refund policy

Pottery Shop

We do not accept returns or exchanges on pottery shop product purchases.

We do not currently offer shipping for our pottery products. When you purchase an item you are agreeing to pick it up from our shop and studio, located at 1242 Wellington St. West, Ottawa ON K1Y 3A4 Canada.

Hours of operation are Tuesday to Sunday 12-5 PM.  Please contact us if you have any difficulties with your order, we'd be happy to assist you with your purchase!

Pottery Classes and Workshops

 

Please note, we do not offer makeup classes or refunds for students who miss a session under any circumstances

  • 6 Week Courses, Private classes and Spin the Wheel:

Are eligible for a 90% refund if cancelled 10 days prior to the start date after which, they are non-refundable and non-transferable to another date.  A 10% administration fee will be charged for any refund.  

Hintonburg Pottery Studio does not substitute or provide make-up classes for courses. If you miss a class, every effort will be made by staff to complete your pieces.  For spin the wheel classes, we encourage you to find a friend to take your spot (this does not apply to courses that have already begun).

  • Specialized Workshops: 

All specialized workshops are final sale. No refunds are given for Specialized/ Professional Workshops, where an outside artist is brought in to present.  If you need to miss your workshop, we encourage you to find a friend to take your spot.


  • Private Events: 

50% of package cost is required upon booking an event package.  The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable to a future date.  No refunds are given under any circumstances.  Remaining balance is due 21 days before the event and is non-refundable.  Final number of attendees is due 7 days before the event so we have adequate time to prepare for your special event.

What Happens if HP Cancels a Class? 

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone any program or activity due to low enrollment or inclement weather. If one of your classes is cancelled due to weather the course will be extended a week to make up that class. We will call students if classes are being cancelled.
