During the pandemic, we have adjusted our storage offering and look forward to reconnecting you with your lovely pieces of pottery! Pots that are not picked up one month after the posting date on the website will be donated.

Hintonburg Pottery has an online store and we offer pickup in store for your purchases. Our *NEW* Spring hours are Tuesday to Sunday 12-5 PM.
For those looking for a personalized shopping experience, please visit us at 1242 Wellington St. West to explore our unique and handmade items – our offerings change weekly with some available in store only.

What to bring for my first class?
We provided all necessary tools and supplies. We suggest that you dress for mess. Although the mud is washable, you can bring an apron or old shirt to protect your clothes.
Please keep in mind for our wheel classes:
- heels, skirts or long garments (scarves, flowing materials) are not recommended;
- long hair should be tucked back and/or tied securely; and
- you may want to remove jewellery and trim nails in advance of working with clay.

Can I buy clay or pottery supplies from Hintonburg Pottery?
Unfortunately, we do not offer clay or pottery supplies for sale, unless you're purchasing them as part of one of our 'Take Home Kits'.
There is a local supplier you can purchase directly from called Capital Pottery.
What steps are Hintonburg Pottery taking to ensure Health and Safety?
Hintonburg Pottery has made several changes that look and feel different from our past studio experience. When you go to book online, you will see that reflected in our lasted course and workshop descriptions during the registration process.
How do I become a studio member?
Hintonburg Pottery’s Earthen Vessels Clay Studio used to offer membership for experienced potters. Since March 2020, we have remained closed to Studio Members. Other organizations within the city of Ottawa offer studio membership and we encourage you to explore those options.
Do you repair broken ceramic pieces?
Unfortunately we do not offer a repair service. You can find glue for ceramics at any hobby or home repair shop.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Hintonburg Pottery offers online gift certificates for our Adult or Kids and Youth programming, which includes classes, workshops, and camp.
