Firebox Pottery by Will Kealy

Based in Ottawa, Will Kealy creates stoneware that tells a story. His journey in the arts spans decades, beginning with a BFA from York University and an MA from NSCAD, followed by a distinguished 30-year career as an art educator. Upon retiring in 2012, Will returned to his own creative roots, launching a pottery studio in New Brunswick before moving to the capital in 2018.

Today, Will’s work is a vibrant intersection of clay and pigment. Moving beyond traditional forms, he uses underglazes to "paint" on stoneware, creating functional pieces and wall art that capture the essence of his travels. From the rolling hills of Tuscany to the light of Provence, his ceramics serve as a physical translation of the sketches and memories he collects abroad.
