Lyndsay Massey

Born and raised in Ottawa, I am passionate about teaching, facilitation and learning. I am a corporate learning and performance excellence leader by day, with the rest of my time dedicated to raising to two amazing boys, as a fur-mamma to three rambunctious rescue dogs (my fur-babies), and as a wife of one husband. I also spend a little of that time as a beginner 1 pottery teacher at Hintonburg.
I discovered pottery when my mother signed me up for a wheel beginner 1 class at Hintonburg Pottery while I was pregnant with my youngest (2016). I would attend class while my little one slept soundly in his swing chair beside me. From day one I was hooked! You could say I'm a Hintonburg Pottery Home Grown Potter, having learned 90% of my skill from the teachers at this studio. Teaching and training is engrained in just about everything I do personally and professionally, so it was a natural fit when asked if I would like to start teaching pottery at Hintonburg.
What is my favourite thing to make? This will most likely be an unlikely response to that question - I love supporting and inspiring others to find their love of pottery. There is nothing more satisfying than igniting that creative spark in others.
