Joanna Richardson

Joanna is an honors graduate from New Brunswick’s College of Craft and Design, with specialized focus
on ceramics. Having completed her Ceramics Practicum at the Banff Centre in British Columbia, Joanna considers herself an Ottawa-based potter who maintains her artistic connections to East and West coast of Canada.

Joanna enjoys making simple functional work. She invites users to look and feel closely, and to take a quiet moment when exploring pieces. Joanna finds personal joy and unwavering dedication in guiding students on their creative journey at Hintonburg Pottery and the Earthen Vessels clay studio.
