Carol Holmes-Kerr

Carol began taking pottery classes at Lambton College in Sarnia in 1998. Her day job was working as a nurse and counsellor and she realized she needed to do something completely different to balance herself. Soon she was “hooked.” She had found her medium for creating. Having completed all wheel and hand building courses in their continuing education program she went on to take several workshops with well-known potters. During her time at the college she made some longtime friends.

She says her favourite time in her small home studio is when she is at her wheel. She loves teaching beginners, sharing what she has learned and helping her students as they face and conquer the challenges of wheel work. 

Carol’s dry sense of humor and irrefutable talents make her a valued teacher and member of the
Hintonburg Pottery team.
