Prerequisite: Students must complete the Beginner Wheel Throwing Class 2-3 times.
In this intensive class you must be able to center at least 2 pounds of clay and pull a pot that is taller than the width. The focus is on pulling up all of the clay from the bottom to use the clay as efficiently as possible. We will create tall cylinders of various shapes, and make lidded casserole dishes. This is an exciting adventure moving forward!
During the pandemic, we're currently offering this as a 3-week course. The technicians will glaze the students' pots as we're unable to do physical distancing in our glaze room.
Who is it for? Adults and teens. Experience necessary from taking 2-3 previous Beginner Wheel Throwing Classes. Classes take place during evenings. During the pandemic, class sizes are limited.
