This fall's programs are designed to provide kids with the opportunity to experience working in a professional pottery studio. Previous ceramic experience is not required for the many creative projects planned. The goal is to provide a stress-free environment to inspire creativity while nurturing self-confidence.
Participants will have fun exploring the art of hand-building and learning about the pottery process from beginning to surface decorating.
Our focus is creating a warm welcoming space for kids to enjoy exploring their creative ideas with clay without critical judgment, to encourage one another, and grow their self-confidence.
Due to the pandemic, wheel throwing has been temporarily removed from the curriculum.
Who is it for? Kids ages 8 and up. No experience necessary. During the pandemic, class sizes are limited.
What to bring?
We provide all the tools needed for the program.
During the pandemic, we are unable to provide you with aprons. To protect your clothes it is a good idea to bring your own apron.
Students will be provided with their own storage tray for their tools throughout the program to avoid any possibilities of cross-contamination.
Students will need to remove rings and have long hair tied back.
Wear comfortable shoes. No socks or bare feet, please.
