Handbuilding workshops are offered to attendees with all levels of experience!
All students will be guided from beginning to end throughout each workshop. The Hintonburg Pottery team will provide you with all clay, tools, and detailed instruction necessary to welcome and prepare you on your unique clay journey. Our goal is to help individual’s explore and harness their creative energy to manifest an original and beautiful piece.
Some workshops may be centered on a specific theme, and will emphasize learning based on that theme. For example, within a “gardening” workshop, individuals may harness creativity by producing a flower pot, bird bath, or lantern.
Sgraffito Workshops focus on decorations created by scratching through clay surfaces to reveal layers of colour. During this class, you will be provided with all tools required to participate and learn this beautiful art of decorating. Through contrasting patterns and images, you will reveal an original piece that is unique to every artist.
