This is an introductory class designed for beginners with little to no experience in wheel throwing.
The Hintonburg Pottery team will navigate you through the stages of transforming a clump of mud into fully functioning cups, bowls, mugs, and other handmade treasures. In light of COVID-19, we offer two class options in Beginner Wheel Throwing. 3-week program for $195.00 5-week program for $280.00
In an effort to maintain physical distancing, our technicians will glaze all pots for students at the end of each full program.
When do classes take place?
All sessions for this class take place during the day and evenings.

Adults and teens
No experience necessary (this class serves as a prerequisite for Beginner II Wheel Throwing)

What is required to participate?
Our team will provide you with all necessary tools to participate in each session of the class.
Due to pandemic limitations, we are no longer able to provide you with aprons. In order to protect your clothes, please bring your own apron.
Remove rings prior to class sessions, consider cutting finger nails short to better interact with clay materials, and, for those with long hair, do wear your hair pulled back.
Wear comfortable shoes – no socks or bare feet permitted during class.
