Summer 2021 Update

In early April 2021 the province announced an "emergency brake" shutdown and stay-at-home order in Ontario, with a phased reopening plan announced on Thursday, May 20, scheduled throughout Spring / Summer 2021.

This impacted Hintonburg Pottery's studio operations for teachers, students and studio members as once again, we were required to cancel our classes and workshops.

Customers can use their COVID-19 related client credits for future studio courses until Spring 2022.

You can now manage and redeem class credits online, with late Summer and early Fall 2021 adult studio courses, wheel camps and workshops currently available for registration. Handbuilding courses and workshops to follow later this summer.

PHASES 1 and 2:

  • Children's Day Camps are operating based on Ministry of Health guidelines from June 28 to August 27, 2021 – our Summer Day Camps are sold out.
  • On street retail shopping using contactless payment during our curbside pickup hours.
  • Online shopping is available 24/7 using contactless payment and curbside pickup.
  • Curbside pickup hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 1-4 PM.

According to the phased reopening timelines, which are subject to change based on the Province of Ontario's advice:

  • Our studio will be able to reopen with limited capacity for adult courses and workshops on evenings and weekends and Adult Wheel Camps in late July 2021.
  • Our shop will be able to reopen with on street shopping.
